REVIVAL........? Part 2
Most everyone is searching for the seemingly elusive answers to this poigant topic. Countless hours have been spent arguing, debating and sharing ideas in hopes of finding the next piece of this spectacular puzzle. I know our first response is God, and yes, this is the correct answer. However,.........I know this may shock some of you, but , God and all of His wonder and might is not enough. Ok, now that I have your attention let us turn our thinking towards Abraham. Where are you going Abraham? I don't know, He said something about Cannan. Who is He? He said that He is God and that He is going to make a great nation out of me and that because of my going all the earth will be blessed. Did God need Abraham and the countless others in scripture that went? I think the answer is overwhelmingly, YES!
One last example and an EXPERIMENT.
I have read and re-read the book of Acts over and over again and I think there are four distinct keys and ANSWERS that are left for us here. The Acts of the Apostles chapter 2:42 states: " And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." I detect 4 keys. 1.) Continued in the apostles doctrine ( the death, burial and the resurrection.)
2.) Fellowship ( friendship)
3.) Breaking of bread ( taking someone to eat or accepting an invitation to eat). Somebody say yes Lord!
4.) Prayer
I propose a biblical experiment: make a list of all the people in your sphere and systematically put these keys to work. If you notice on the top right hand side of this page there is a counter that is counting the days left until this particular experiment is over. We are agressively putting these four steps to work. Join us and let us see REVIVAL.

"REVIVAL"--------?
The term "revival" is a term that encapsulates all that we as Apostolics are striving to obtain. We are all guilty, I'm sure, of using this term loosely without really comprehending the brevity of it. After all, we are talking about the souls of men, women, boys and girls that are on a path leading them to an eternal destination. I am reminded on a daily basis how that we truly are in need of "revival". I look into the frightened eyes of the stranger that passes by and wonder if there is anything that I can say or do. I feel the rage and pain in the person standing next to me and again I wonder if there is anything that I can do. You drive by them as much as the next person and you see the hollow, far off stare and I'm sure you wonder if there is anything that you can do. What a question.............what can you do? I'm not sure that anyone has the answers to these gripping questions. Will a week of scheduled services change the look in their eyes and the destination of their tortured soul? Will your hour on Saturday turn the course of that wandering spirit? After all, that is "revival"...... right? If this is so, then I ask you this sobering question. Why is that man you see every day still standing on the side of the street with the same hollow stare he had last year? If this is true, why is your neighbor still guzzling his adult beverages with the same ferocity he always has? I know it makes us uncomfortable to think that just maybe someone might spend eternity without God because we only had 2 or 3 of our scheduled "revivals". God please help us with our lack of understanding.
Tune in tomorrow..................... I have some ideas.

We are still doing it!
We wanted to bring everyone up to speed with what GOD is still doing at NLC.
We are still baptizing people in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins.
We are still seeing people filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
We are still seeing God deliver people from the clutches of sin.
We are still seeing the miraculous and on and on and on....!!!!!
The latest happening is: we had our first service in our brand new building TODAY.
God opened another door for us to walk into and we boldly stepped through.
Take a look there is over 8000 square feet of usable space and the sanctuary seats around 275-300. Please help us believe that God is going to fill it up.
Stay tuned.....................

THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS HERE
Those that follow after the things of God, at some point in their journey, ask themselves this illusive question: " Why does it seem that the presence of our Lord is more powerful at one particular time than at other times?"
I don't know that anyone can answer this question. For at times it is much too wonderful to comprehend that we can even feel Him at all. However, one thing I do know, is when you do feel Him you must without any reservation or hesitation respond with every drop of energy that you have.
Yesterday was one of those moments when you know He is near.
Congratulations to Ivan for receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.

A true statement indeed. The man on the left side of the picture is Bro. Jeremy Bruso which happens to be the husband of a precious saint that attends NLC La Mesa. Bro. Jeremy has honored his wife by coming to church for the last year and a half and throughout this time has become more and more interested and involved.
We are so happy to report to you that Bro. Jeremy was baptized today in Jesus name and was filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost February 18Th. I think you would concur: " a picture is worth a thousand words ".
