" Heaven on my mind "

The great apostle John or as some have endearingly called him " John the revelator " allows us to catch a glimpse of an eternal surprise that God has prepared for those that love Him.
God intentionally maroons him on an isle called Patamos and here is where our glimpse begins
Revelation 21:1 states " and I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. " Verse 2 " And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." If you continue to read all the way down you quickly see why John was called " the revelator " The scripture declares that it has not entered into the the heart of man what God has prepared for them that love Him.................. On to what John saw: he said that God would wipe away all tears and that there would be no more death, sorrow, crying or pain! I'm talking about heaven. Go on read for yourself............Verse 18 begins to describe the building materials that are used. The city is pure gold like unto clear glass and the twelve foundations are precious stones. Are you grasping what you are reading? There are twelve gates made from twelve single pearls oh...And one last thing the streets are pure gold. I'm talking about heaven.
1 Thessalonians 4: 18 instructs us to comfort one another with these words.
This world is not my home I'm just a passing through my treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue, the angels beckon me from heavens open door and I can't feel at home in this world any more.
